For my practical I intend to create a fashion magazine. I am aiming to produce at least eight pages, including a front cover, a contents, a double page spread and two or three advertisements as I have discovered from my research that most of these magazines are full of advertisements, appealing to the readers.
I was also thinking of including some craft pages as well, as many of these magazines products are large amounts of money, so I would wish to aim mine at people who aren't in such a comfortable financial situation as it seems these are the category of people who tend to read these magazines.
I would like to make my magazine advertisements relevant to the content of the magazine, therefore they will revolve around make up and fashion.
I have been reading many magazines and going on a lot of online sites such as 'pinterest' for ideas, that I will be able to do myself at home.
One idea I have is for a nail varnish advertisement, I am going to create this by buying a wide variety of crayons and glueing them onto a canvas, I will then use a hairdryer to melt the crayons, causing the was to drip down the canvas, I will then picture the canvas, cropping the crayons out so I am left with a white canvas with different colours running down the page, which I will then photoshop a made up brand name onto.
